Green Mountain Mist | Green Tea
A classic and familiar Hunan green tea – vegetable broth aroma, light in body, fresh and green in character, and a dark, cooling finish.
A mid-season yunwu tea produced by Ms. Peng Da Jie on April 25, 2022. It shares the same fields as our Gu Zhang Mao Jian in the Wuling mountains of Guzhang county, Hunan province. After they are done making Gu Zhang Mao Jian, the farmers switch to producing this tea, which is more of an everyman’s everyday tea – less refined, but less expensive, and still a great tea for your daily drinker. It’s a two leaf and a bud pluck from the Bi Xiang Zao cultivar, the leaf material coming from various elevations ranging from 500 feet to 3,300 feet. Yunwu teas, which translates “clouds mist”, get their name from the near permanent fog at the higher elevations which strain the photosynthesis and give unique properties to these naturally shaded leaves.
