A jungle-thick green Tieguanyin. Intense buttery floral aroma and cup. The mouthfeel is brothy and savory. Nothing subtle about this tea so be careful not to stray too far from the path.

Produced May 1st, 2021 by Mr. Wang Dejiang in Jiandou town of Anxi county, Fujian. It is grown at approximately 2,400 feet on a continuous mountain range that runs through the town. Mr. Wang is 58 years old and has spent decades focused on tieguanyin, refining his technique he initially learned from his grandfather. The exact translation for Tieguanyin is “Iron Goddess of Mercy” and the loose pronunciation is “tee-gwan-yin.” By definition these teas are made from the Tieguanyin cultivar. Anxi county is home to this revered and respected tea.
