Description: This very traditional Japanese green tea from Shizuoka is made from a Sencha tea blended with toasted and puffed brown rice. The puffed rice and roasted grain flavor create unique and balanced notes in the steeped cup.
This tea was produced by a family owned tea company that was founded in 1869 in Shizuoka, Japan. It’s owned and run by the same family for five generations now. We've worked with these folks for six years. Their teas, their skill, and their warmth are unmatched. Their tea factory is located near the Nissaka area of Shizuoka, not far from Mt. Fuji.
