Earl Grey | Black Tea
This tea classic is a blend of black tea and natural bergamot. It is sweet, slightly floral, and very satisfying.
In recent years, Jean Luc Picard made Earl Grey tea famous in Star Trek: The Next Generation, but the various origin legends of Earl Grey date back to the 1830's. Supposedly, this tea was a gift to a British lord from Chinese mandarins—except that bergamot didn't exist in China at the time. Bergamot is a citrus fruit native to Mediterranean countries with a wonderful aroma but a bitter taste.
