Clouds & Mist Supreme | Green Tea
A lush and floral paradise. Cucumber-like sweetness with a lingering briskness in the aftertaste. A model green tea that steeps flawless in the Western mug.
This unique “yunwu” style tea was produced March of 2023. Yunwu translates to “clouds mist” and gets its name from the near permanent fog at the higher elevations. This tea comes from the famous Meng Ding Mountain of Ya’an City in Sichuan Province. It’s produced with a combination of steaming and pan-firing techniques. “Steaming” is the signature move of Japanese green tea production and its employment here is unusual, but it brings a bit of that brothy, sencha character while retaining the Chinese floral attributes. This is an outstanding tea.
