I've only had a couple other Yunnan blacks, both of which I really enjoyed, and this one is no different. If I had to find words for it, I might say complex yet seamless, full, elegant, clean, and utterly smooth. Less cereal/hay and more dried fruit, but very clean. It is a complete tea, a work of art.

Harvested and produced April 19, 2025 by Mr. Du Yong Gang in Feng Shan Town, Fengqing County, Yunnan Province. It’s a one bud and two leaf pick from Yunnan Big Leaf trees that are over 100 years old and growing at 5,900 feet! These old trees have a natural variation in them that causes the bud and young leaf to turn purple, a sign of high anthocyanin levels.
