The base tea was originally harvested April 25, 2022 by Mr. Liu Zhao Quan in Puer City, Yunnan Province. It’s a one bud, two leaf pick of the Yunnan Big Leaf cultivar growing at approximately 3,600 feet. The tea was finished and pressed on July 15, 2023.

Steeping Instructions
4 grams | 10-12 oz water | 212°F | Steep 4 min.
Traditional Steeping - Use 6 grams of tea in a 150ml gaiwan or teapot with boiling water and steep as follows:
- Rinse – 10 seconds
- 1st – 10 seconds
- 2nd – 10 seconds
- 3rd – 10 seconds
- 4th – 25 seconds
- 5th – 45 seconds
- 6th – 90 seconds

A dark wooded path past wild thimble fruits and mushrooms.
Smooth and fragrant on its own, also great with milk and spices on chilly winter nights.
The title says it all. It's absolutely lovely to sip on. It's earthy in best way possible. I'm very happy with this purchase and look forward sharing with my family.
A simple and plain cooked/Shu Pu Erh. It has a clean aroma and very slight hints of chocolate and grain dust when tasted. I could maybe see the chestnut they describe too. But there is no earthy, meaty, mushroom or dark stone fruits here. Nor any oaky tannic dryness. It has a decently rich mouth feel without being overbearing. And that's not a bad thing at all. I would heartily recommend this tea to someone looking to try their first Pu Erh. It drinks so easy, with no strange or sharp edges and you can get many steeps from 6 grams in a 10 to 12-ounce coffee cup Grandpa style. 3 grams will yield me several good cups in the morning. And if this isn't your first Pu Erh, it drinks like an old friend - comfortable and relaxing without being demanding. A really nice everyday drinker for sure!
