This simple tea has unusually hearty aromatics of asparagus and chicken broth, but the cup is surprisingly bright and sweet. It has a light body, rich texture, and a roasted zucchini and seaweed character that’s pleasantly clean in the finish. Great bang for the buck!

A 2025 first flush spring tea from our friends at the Otsuka Green Tea Co. It’s a deep-steamed “fukamushi” sencha blend of Yabukita cultivars growing in the Kakegawa, Kikugawa, and Shimada regions of Shizuoka, Japan.
