Tastes like the potential of tillage. Fresh soil perfume and a body as smooth as polished rocks. The cup character of black dirt and mossy wood gives wide latitude to light or heavy steeping. Excellent value!

Produced March 25, 2022 by Mr. Chen Zhao Quan in Puer City of Yunnan Province. It’s a fine 1 bud 1 leaf pluck from the Yunnan Big Leaf cultivar growing at almost 5,000 feet. Ripe or “shu” puer gets that particularly earthy character from the piling fermentation step as the final stage of its production. The city was renamed “Puer” in 2007. It’s original name, Simao, means as “hard as rock” in the language of the local Pu people. They found a special bamboo growing in the area that was so sturdy they started using it to build houses and other structures. Over time the city just took on the name (until 2007).
