This comes close to the super malty yam flavor I love in Dian Hong. I prefer the ones that smell like buttery biscuits over the earthy puer type Yunnans. This is somewhere in between and can stand on its own gongfu or western style. Very nice tea for a quiet morning. One of those that you hide in the back of the cupboard for yourself. It’s almost buttery and has a nice mouthfeel. Honey and yam notes with a little orchid maybe. Not sure on the floral note. Definitely malty.

I am so glad I branched out from Assam and found this tea. It's my favorite and I'm sad that I am nearly out. Hope it comes back in stock soon.

Yunnan Gold Bud | Black Tea

I am a big fan of "Yunnan Gold" type teas. This tea is the best I have ever tasted. It has a delicious deep rich taste with a very nice bouquet and smooth finish. This could be my "desert island" tea--one I would take if it was the only tea I had to drink for a very long time. I hope it comes back into stock soon as I will certainly be buying more!

Yunnan Gold Bud | Black Tea

The description is apt, but my experience of this tea surpassed my positive expectation of it based on description alone. Yunnan Gold Bud is presently topping my short list of all time favorite teas. The visual aspect is lovely, and the flavor is delicious! Much praise and gratitude to Ms. Zhao Yu Jie!

Yunnan Gold Bud is an outstanding tea. It's one of the few teas I've had that is worthy of my little Jian Shui purple clay teapot. It has intense flavors of malt, molasses and caramel. When I want to buy a special treat, this is the tea.

Yunnan Gold Bud | Black Tea

Yunnan Gold Bud is absolutely fantastic! I've purchased Yunnan FOP many times; a favorite of mine in colder months. With my last purchase I received a sample of the Yunnan Gold Bud. It has every characteristic of Yunnan FOP times 10. Amazingly rich, smooth, mellow, deep, and smells wonderful. I steeped my prize six times just to eek every last nuance from the leaves, but the fourth time was probably the normal endpoint.
