The strong aromatics radiate geological heat without the char of fire. The sweet cinnamon character feels tempered by the blacksmith’s forge, maturing into a sturdy cup of raw elements tamed.
Harvested and produced May 5, 2023 by Mr. Li Jilin at Da Keng Kou, Wuyi City, Fujian Province. It finished roasting on May 18, 2024. It’s a one bud, two leaf pick of the Rou Gui cultivar growing at 750 feet.
