Wildcat | Green Tea
Raw in its power, yet graceful in its prowl. It has the aroma of an overgrown garden on a hot day and a solid body that can be rolled around in your mouth. The cup is savory with qualities of dried flowers, snap peas, and polished quartz. No astringency. Playful and unusual.
Harvested and produced April 8, 2025 by Mr. Li Shao Lin in Dehua County, Fujian Province. It’s a one bud, two leaf pick of the Taiwan Qing Xin Da Mao cultivar growing at 2,200 feet. Qing Xin Da Mao is used to make Taiwan’s famous “Oriental Beauty” oolong tea, which is a summer production. This one-of-a-kind tea is a spring harvest and the first green tea made in the county. The leaves are withered before dry-firing to significantly lower the astringency and deliver a much smoother performance.
