This is my favorite Assam I've tried from TeaSource! It's all the things they say and more! I enjoy this fruit aroma that steams off the cup when I brew it, and it carries into the flavor as well. This is a daily drinker for me. It's brisk but not astringent or drying, heavy mouth feel but pleasant. It's a waker-upper, and goes great with it without cream and sugar. I cannot say enough good things about this tea!
I do not usually care for astringency or sharp edges in most teas, although I often make exceptions for Assam teas. In the case of this tea, no such exception is needed. It is very smooth. It is an easy drinker and just an overall good cup of tea, plain or with a dash of cream. I usually drink Assam teas in the morning, but I believe this tea is well suited to any time of day.
