I make kombucha every week with this tea. In a second fermentation, I add fresh ginger, and I have better ginger kombucha than I have ever bought in a bottle. Love it!

Masala Chai | Black Tea

And Earthy Chai distinctively different from than the typical coffee shop chai that's flavored syrup (thus the reviews here). My family enjoys this blend and prefers it to Starbucks, et al. The black tea is delicious. I brew it for 4 min, but it can be brewed longer and with two teaspoons tea per 8-10 ounces of hot water to bump up the spice. Think of it like this: you can add salt to the dish, but it's nice to have a chai that's not overdone and I can adjust it.

Lovely chai! It doesn't have the cloying spice levels that many chais have. It does have a really nice, smooth flavor and aroma that invites you to hold the cup to your nose while you sip. Kind of perfect with biscotti for an afternoon treat. A dash of cream and honey and you are good to reach for a good book to while away the hours. I may need another cup of that...

Unfortunately didn't spot the natural flavors in the ingredients list before purchasing on sale. It's ok if you like that sort of thing but it's not for me. Has the typical super sweet smell and artificial taste from a flavored tea

Pretty good and all, not too sweet, but definitely NOT SPICY! The long-lived, long-loved Reena's Chai tasted best. Please reintroduce, explain, apologise! We have supported TeaSource since they began business, enthusiastically and devotedly. This represents our first complaint; in fact, first experience of anything short of exemplary.

Per the description, I was hoping for a nice spicy traditional chai. Even as I opened the package, I could smell that the tea might be too sweet, too flowery for what I consider traditional. The flavor that I find "off" is a citrus flavor - somewhat like orange peel was added to the mix, or some floral flavor. Perhaps it is the black tea that was chosen for this mix (it's not specified which black tea was used) as the other ingredients are traditional. If you're looking for a spicy chai, this isn't it.
