Rugged and direct, this is orthodox Assam tea before it’s been sorted and graded. A full-bodied cup with rich barley and malt character.

Produced in the summer of 2025 by our friends at the the Chota Tingrai Estate in the Tinsukia district of Assam, India.

Workhorse Assam 2nd Flush | Black Tea

The aroma presents a bit of malt, the scent alfalfa hay, and a bit of citrus. The palate has malt, a bit of freshly ground grain with a bit of brightness at the end. It stands up well to milk and sugar. A bit of coconut sugar really brings out the malt character. A very good breakfast tea.
