This tea has a potent, intoxicating aroma, a nice body of maple sweetness with a woody/spiced notes, and a prominent floral character that becomes especially apparent as the cup cools. Plenty of flavor for multiple steepings. This ended up being my favorite Oolong in the last year. I enjoyed the last cup just as much as the first.

Otherworldly in its allure, the signature citrus aromatics of the Dan Cong style are convincing in their earthly appeal of ripe peaches and maple syrup. The golden liquor leaves little in the way of astringency and the sweetness lingers long, long afterwards.
Harvested and produced April 23, 2026 by Mr. Huang Shu Wei in Chaoan County, Chaozhou City, Guangdong Province. He completed roasting on May 30, 2026. It’s a one bud, three leaf pick of the Baxian Xiang cultivar growing at approximately 1,300 feet.
