I really want to like this, but the cinnamon oil (?) overpowers both the flavor and the mouthfeel of the tea blend. I keep searching for a depth that just isnt there whenever I take a sip. I was hoping for a more subtle brew, and this is anything but.
I love spiced teas and have tried a wide variety of them. I had my favorites already but decided to try this one from TeaSource. This has become my favorite spiced tea. To put it simply, this tea is perfectly balanced between the black tea itself and the blend of the spices. It's not too strong and the tastes are delightful. This will be my annual tradition for now on.
I used to work at a coffee shop that served this and I was the one who told everyone to ice it. It's so sweet and delicious, both hot or iced, I cannot describe the joy it brings me. I'm so glad I remembered the name of this tea. I will be buying it often to fill the void.
I love TeaSource Spice tea! The clove, ginger and cinnamon give this tea a warm feeling and taste delightful. It is my winter favorite on cold afternoons!
I read reviews on the "new" recipe and was concerned, so bought a small amount to try before placing a larger order online as I've moved to MI.
I find this "new" recipe every bit as good as the previous.... in fact, I don't detect any change except maybe a bit smoother and am getting ready to place my order.
A local tea expert gave me this tea when I had a bad cold. She said it would help.
So I drank a cup. Within 20 minutes the cold chills went away, and I got about 80% of my energy back. She gave me some loose leaf to take home, and I drank another cup the next morning. Two cups of tea and my symptoms were gone. Now I drink this tea about once a week, and I haven't had a cold in the last three years. Not one sniffle, even when everyone around me gets sick.
The package says to steep for 3 minutes. I steep it for 10 minutes to get stronger tea flavors and the medicinal benefits from the cloves, ginger, cinnamon and orange. The cloves especially are anti-viral. I order this tea by the pound now, and share it with family members and friends who need a cold cure.
I love the strong chai flavor.
A couple of years ago, I went into the Library and had a cold. One of the Librarians, Lori, (who is an amazing tea expert) gave me a cup of tea that was just magical. It tastes a lot like Chai, but stronger. Within an hour my sinuses cleared up and I started to feel a warmth go through my body. By the time I finished the tea, I felt so much better. She gave me a bit of this loose tea to take home. She said I had to store it in a glass jar, because it's so potent it can't be stored in plastic packaging. I drank another cup the next day and the cold went away. I ordered more of it yesterday to ward off any nasty cold germs this winter.
I got my tea in 4 days.
This stuff kills colds in one or two cups. It worked again for me this weekend. After a workshop I went to on Friday, I was in a room with 100+ people and must have picked up a bug. I felt horrible the next day. I could hardly get out of bed. I drank two cups of this tea, one on Saturday and started to feel better on Sunday. I drank another cup of tea. It's Monday morning and I feel great. No cold, no fever, no chills, no symptoms at all. My energy came back and it's like the weekend never happened.
This stuff tastes great too! It's a nice mix of chai and cinnamon flavors. It smells and tastes amazing!
The old recipe was my go to tea, I made a pot every morning. When I would go into get more, it was sold out a lot of the time. Why change a flavor that was perfect and sold well. This new flavor has to much clove taste.
Please, please go back to the original and best tea that was Tea Source Spice.
In my opinion this tastes like Fireside spice.
I first tried this tea at a coffee shop while visiting some family. It quickly became my favorite flavor. I tracked down the source online and order it regularly. When I gave up coffee due to calories in my creamer this was my go to replacement! Couldn't live without it.
