Kenya Purple is one of several TeaSource teas that our whole family loves. It is simply delicious and we can't wait until it's back in stock!

Maybe I'm brewing it wrong but you can definitely taste the anthocyanins in this one. Very dry, astringent on the tongue. Bitter round flavor remniscent of leather. Aftertaste is almost like a Da Hong Pao. The color change with a drop of lemon or lime is fun as a novelty.

Kenyan purple leaf green...name was so intriguing I just had to try...and in no way was I disappointed!! First, the purplish color once brewed is great!! (The above pic of a brewed cup does the tea justice). Second, the minerally taste is just what I'm looking for in a tea. And 3rdly, the tea doesn't disappoint with a 2nd steeping, just a little weaker than the first. I brew for a 5-6 oz cup at 175 degrees for either 3 or 4 minutes. Haven't tried my Kenyan black yet, but looking forward to it!!

I'm not normally a reviewer (for anything online, tea or otherwise), but I've had such an amazing experience that I felt I really had to share. TeaSource was recommended to me by a co-worker from Minnesota, and I decided to try out some of their tea as I've been looking to branch out on my online tea buying. WOW. So happy I took her advice! I was so intrigued by the Kenya Purple Leaf Tea's description that I had to give it a try--it was on sale for such a reasonable price, I said why not! This tea is honestly amazing. It truly is unlike any tea I've tried before, and it is so refreshingly light and airy that I am able to drink it whenever I'd like, as opposed to some of the more intense/flavorful/dark teas. Honestly, an amazing product and I'm thrilled to now be a regular TeaSource customer. I should also note--they are incredibly prompt with shipping, and the tea comes in fantastic contains which include the steeping instructions right on the container! It's a minor thing, but it's much appreciated.
