The stark, minimalist beauty of white tea buds. Classic jasmine fragrance, but the white tea buds gives it a more pointed character (think oak or mineral) than the more vegetal green tea jasmines.
Harvested and produced in March 2025 in Baise City, Guangxi Province. It was scented five times in Heng County, Guangxi Province, July 2025. It’s a bud only pick of the Bai Hao cultivar growing at 3,200 feet.

Steeping Instructions
3 grams | 10-12 oz water | 212°F | Steep 3 min.
Traditional Steeping: 6 grams, boiling water, 150 ml
10 second rinse
1st steep – 25 seconds
2nd steep – 15 seconds
3rd steep – 15 seconds
4th steep – 30 seconds
5th steep – 45 seconds
6th steep – 90 seconds

I am a Chinese who has been drinking jasmine tea daily since I was a kid. Jasmine silver needles from TeaSource is my favorite among several types I have been using! It has the authentic jasmine flavor and also tastes pure. I couldn't thank TeaSource enough for bringing this for local consumers like me.
I would call this my new favorite from Tea Source but that would disparage my favorite White Tea Earl Grey. Hmmm, is there a theme there?
I am an "I like what I like" tea drinker and am jealous of those who can compose reviews that sound like wine-tasting notes. There is no such sophistication here. I love the jasmine-forward taste and the fact that it's not a picky tea that turns bitter if you don't steep it perfectly. I remember the first time I tasted jasmine tea (1976). We received a gift basket from Hickory Farms and I had no idea about green teas. I totally over-steeped it, but I could still tell that the jasmine was an amazing flavor. I've loved it ever since but it can be a fickle and fussy friend. This version is everything I want in Jasmine without the fuss.

I'm not a green tea drinker. Most greens I don't care for. The first time I had jasmine years ago, didn't like it. But this one - this one I love. This has been my gateway into appreciating a couple other green teas. The silkiness, the aroma, the perfect light flavor after just 2-3min of steeping.
I don't usually drink caffeine. Maybe 1-2 servings per week. It is usually in the form of this tea. Worth it!!
I just started drinking white tea. I was an occasional green tea drinker. I read about white tea in a magazine and decided to give it a try. In the past I ordered my tea online from China Mist, but heard about a great tea company right in my town. I ordered the White Peony/White Tea and they sent me a sample of the Jasmine Silver Needles and I am in love with it. The taste is so soothing and elegant. Of all the teas I've ever tasted, jasmine silver needle remains my favorite. I buy it in 1 lb packages through the Wedge co-op here in Minneapolis where I live, and it stays surprisingly fresh throughout the year as I consume it.
A coworker once asked me of my tea collection if I ever felt or experienced any health benefit from drinking tea in general. The answer was no, I simply liked it better than pop or water -- with one exception: silver needle white tea. Even compared to high grade peony. With silver needle white tea, regardless of the producer, I can definitely feel it move through my body like a golden liquid vitality. If I drink it all day long, throughout the course of the week, my skin will become clearer, fairer, and more youthful; and that's exactly how I feel inside, as well.

I'm not going to mince my words here.... this is a gorgeous tea---visually, aromatically, and gastronomically. The tea is lightly floral, with grassy notes and a hint of jasmine. Such a smooth cup!!!! I recommend brewing Gong-Fu, to the get the fullest experience.
