This loosely-packed dark tea brick from Anhua County (famous for Dark Tea production) steeps up a light golden color, with a hint of red. The liquor is sweet, mild and smooth with a hint of newly-mown hay.

3 grams | 8 oz water | 195°F | Steep 3 min.

Traditional Steeping

8 grams | 6 oz water | 195°F | Rinse 5 sec. | Steep 10-15 sec.

I'm enjoying this tea brick having read about the role of bricks in the transportation of tea in Asia in the past. I agree with TeaSource: Fu Cha is sweet, mild, and smooth after my five-minute steep of one generous teaspoon per cup. I drink it with milk and sweetener.

Fu Cha | Dark Tea Brick

My wife agree on most, but not all teas. This is a new point of agreement. This has substantial yet not overpowering flavor. A good value, and a good dark tea. I use an icepick to pry the leaves out of the brick, but there are other methods.
