This year’s lot is excellent! Harvested and produced April 8, 2025 by Mr. Zhang Jianshe in Donghe Village, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. It’s a one bud, one leaf pick of local cultivar growing at approximately 300 feet. The Chinese name Bi Luo Chun (jade, spiral shell, spring) comes from its spiral shell-like appearance, which requires a strenuous sequence of rolling and shaping.

Found a wonderful tasty new, at least new to me, green tea last year about this time. Being a math person, bought it solely for its name, Fibonacci Spiral, but was rewarded by its great taste. I found that the flavour is very forgiving to even an inattentive steep. I bought several bags last year and stored them in my freezer but ran out a few months ago. So pleased that it has returned.
