The TeaSource description of this tea is accurate. It is a medium bodied tea that is very smooth. I did not detect any tannins. I didn’t find it necessary to use cream to cut the astringency. Very nice tea.

A medium-bodied cup with a mouthfeel like honey. The character of plum skins and licorice have a quiet, yet satisfying stamina. It finishes with the soft, aromatic briskness of lilacs and sea salt.
An FBOP leaf grade produced April 5-11, 2026 by Mr. Thiruchelvem at the Blairlomond Estate in the Udapussellawa region of Sri Lanka. It’s a two leaf and a bud pick of a mix of seedling and cultivar plants growing at 3,500 feet.
