All ripe puer comes from the Xishuangbanna region of southern Yunnan Province, China. It starts out as raw puer, but then goes through a final step of “pile fermentation” where they pile it up, apply moisture, and cover it for a period of time to achieve microbiological change. The result is intensely earthy, smooth, and cannot be over-steeped.

This is the best tea I have ever had, and I am a tea freak. Everyone knows I am a tea freak and when I have visitors I always make them a cup of this, and they say it is incredible, and ask what it is. The $40 matcha cannot compare. The Taiwanese high mountain oolong can not compare. This tea is perfect. So smooth. So creamy somehow? But still, not artificial. Thank you. Wow.

Holy WOW! It is like a dessert in a cup. I have been drinking the white chocolate Puer for many years, so I figured I would give this one a try and it did not disappoint. So comforting and warm and truly delicious.
This is so sad! This used to be my favorite tea by far - I would drink it by the pound - but they recently changed the formulation, adding black tea to the blend and now I can't drink it without getting headaches. I'm hoping TeaSource will bring back the five-star puer-only formulation soon, even if it needs to be at a higher price point.
In the past I have not liked any puer teas I've tried, but this tea is incredibly delicious. It is my new all-time favorite tea, and I run out of it far too quickly! It has a natural mild sweetness so that if you like sweets, it can satisfy a sweet tooth without any added sugar.
I am really a cold tea drink, always a pitcher in the fridge. Then, TeaSource sends me a sample of Caramel Toffee Puer. So yummy, so cozy, up with a blanket and book and you are good to go, good! The caramel and toffee are like a liquid candy bar. You won’t be disappointed!
This tea is fantastic. First opening the package, you smell the caramel. Drinking it is delicious, and it finishes off with a sweet taste which reminds me of the wonderful Pistachio Shortbread (now discontinued). This tea is a wonderful sweetness first thing in the morning, or an excellent alternative to desert when you have the craving. One of my new favorites!
Customers keep reviewing this in the light of Pistachio Shortbread tea, which makes a definite statement. People are trying to find a tea that measures up to Pistachio Shortbread, but having to settle for something else.
This tea does not measure up. For a caramel tea, there's a salted caramel in the grocery store that's every bit as good.
This tea is amazing; slightly sweet, toasty, caramel-ly and rich. I was hesitant to brew it for the 8 minutes suggested, but that turned out to be just right. Try this tea!

I bought this tea after reading the review that compared it to pistachio shortbread. That was my favorite tea and I miss it so much! This is not the same, but it is a good substitute, and has similar sweet and nutty notes. I would recommend!
This is my favorite tea of 2021 TOTM varieties. I have reordered again and again. I really enjoy puer teas, and who doesn’t love caramel toffee? If you are trying to resist snacking on the real thing, this tea is a dreamy substitute without the calories of the chewy sort.
Absolutely love this flavor. It’s a silky smooth light taste. You can taste the caramel and hazelnut. Not too strong. Definitely one of my go to teas for comfort
I fell in love with the White Chocolate Puer tea and when I came across the Caramel Toffee Puer, I was curious about it. I ordered a 4 oz bag. When I opened the bag, the smell was absolutely delicious. When I made a pot, the taste matched the smell. Sometimes when you smell tea it has a strong smell that you like but when you brew it the flavor is not the same--it's usually is weaker. Not so with this one. I love it so much I just order more to add to my tea drawer!
This tea is just the right brew to have on freezing cold winter days.
I've had it a couple times now. I recommend making sure you're using proper water temp and that you add a drop or 3 of raw honey for the perfectly balanced cup. It has excellent flavor and feels decadent. I'd definitely serve this to your high maintenance friends or those who may whine about not liking tea. If they don't like this, get new friends! (JK)
My first puer and it’s my new favorite tea! Description above is perfect. Took a little bit to remember to steep for 8 min instead of 3. It tastes good at 3, amazing at 8. Also still really flavorful on 2nd steeping. Highly recommend!
