Customer photo review of Earl Grey White Tip | Black Tea

Absolutely the best earl grey I have ever tasted! Beautiful to brew and pour! Perfect flavor to savor in your mouth! It was just delivered yesterday and today happens to be my birthday — so I’m enjoying a pot of tea and a chocolate chip cookie for my birthday breakfast!

As a life long Earl Grey Tea Drinker, this one is my absolute favorite. I look forward to every delicious cup of this tea. Nothing compares.

I've tried a lot of earl greys, and many are cloying and artificial. This one is nicely balanced. I'd prefer a bit more dryness, but it's my current favorite.

Earl Grey White Tip | Black Tea

Yep, I'm going to chime in an agree that this is the best Earl Grey I've ever had. A smooth black tea with the perfect amount of bergamot flavoring. This tea is above my price range, but I gotta say it's worth it in this case.

This tea is delicious! Best way to start a morning. Super fast shipping and smooth purchase. Thank you!

Earl Grey White Tip | Black Tea

This is without a doubt the best tea I have ever had! Too expensive for me for everyday but I will definitely drink this for every special occasion I can think of! And i will invent more special occasions!

This is the best Earl Grey tea I've ever tasted, in 50+ years of drinking tea. It is magnificent. It's terrific on its own, and it makes a marvelous London Fog with Oat Milk.

Earl Grey White Tip | Black Tea

Fantastic flavor and aromatics. This has been my everyday tea for the last five years. Subtle flavors that are well balanced and never bitter.

Earl Grey White Tip | Black Tea

This is my special tea I only get occasionally. It is an aromatic delicate black tea, softened by the addition of the white tip. This I save for special occasions.

I've been getting this from Tea Source for years and consider it the best Earl Grey that I can reliably get. I reviewed it years ago but noticed the somewhat negative reviews that were posted here. One claimed the standard version of Earl Grey was better so I thought I'd buy some and do a taste comparison. Result: I still love this version! Lesson: People have different tastes I think the white tea gives it a drier mouth feel--sort of like pine sap that melds with the bergamot. Or something like that. It is almost completely opposite of the creme-style of earl greys.

First mugful this morning of this tea, and it is marvelous. Balanced and fresh, with lighter floral aromas and flavors. Worked very well plain and with an added hint of sugar and a small dollop of cream. Aftertaste is rounded and pleasant. A new favorite.

I'm taste testing all four Earl Grey varieties. Compared to the regular Earl Grey, which is less expensive, this simply doesn't compete. The white tip brews bitter and astringent compared to the regular, and doesn't hold up to the regular when adding sugar and your choice of "milk" (I use unsweetened almond vanilla). Save yourself the small difference in change and stick to the regular Earl Grey and you'll thank me later.

You cannot go wrong. She's perky, fun, but to be taken seriously. If you want to up your Earl Grey treat game, brew this tea just as the directions say. Add a little sweetener of your choice. Serve with a dash or two of whip cream. Best treat ever.

Compared to ALL OTHER Earl Grey tea this one truly places you in a state of bliss. Sure, the bergamot helps but they seemed to hit the perfect balance with the black tea, oil, and white tea. So much so that you'll never want another brand.

I adore Earl Grey and yet frequently I find the tea less than satisfying. I'm not sure what the difference is -- but the earl grey I like has a rounded aroma. The earl grey I don't like is more thin almost like lemon added to iced tea. A recent purchase (from an unnamed source) actually smells like lemon drops when you open the tin! I've had this style from some respected tea brands so I suspect it is more a question of taste than quality. Having gotten my definition of a good earl grey out of the way, let me swoon for a moment while I try to explain the perfection of this cup. Rounded is the only way I can describe it. The white tea is visible but a small percentage of the total tea. It is a mystery to me how it can have any effect at all but it makes me happy to see them. Though maybe that is because I am already in the mood to be happy knowing that in a few minutes I will have a wonderful cup of tea.

You won't know what bergamot tastes like until you try this tea. Truly intense. I wonder if Picard's replicator made this or an imitation of a "Name brand"

Hate to be the naysayer, but as an Earl Grey lover, I was excited to try this but disappointed. The bergamot flavor is weak. It has an interesting and pleasant flavor, but not what I would consider Earl Grey. There's an interesting fruity fermented taste, and some toasty notes, and just a hint of bergamot. It is smooth and not bitter and pleasant overall and may be perfect for those who aren't big fans of bergamot, but I'll keep looking for my perfect Earl Grey.

Buy a pound of this tea and store it in a cool, dry place. Emergency ration for entertaining or favoring a friend or two with an afternoon tea every couple of weeks. Good for health and vitality. This tea will be my next one pound purchase from TeaSource. We drank this tea regularly sitting around a dining room table with late afternoon sun for almost ten years. Their pound lasted a year. Good friends. Hot tea, fulltime flavor.

I've tried dozens of different kinds of earl grey teas. Different price points, different companies and blends this by far is my absolute favorite. I can't begin to explain how aromatic and flavorful this is. I actually picked it up at a small kitchen shop store, and hadn't heard of TeaSource. Best purchase ever, this topped my last favorite from another company that sadly got discontinued. If you're a fan of black teas in general I promise you'll want this in your cupboard. Its balanced perfectly and really needs nothing added but is still lovely with cream and sugar if you must.

The first pack of white tip Earl Grey I bought was back in 2013-4 and it was incredible. My favorite Earl Grey of all time, hands down. Since then, the original owner of the land, I believe, has passed away and Teasource has had to switch sources. The new stuff isn't anywhere near as unique in flavor, and the amount of bergamot seems to have been amplified to cover for the lack of body in this tea. This all being said, it's a drinkable tea for sure, but I've moved on. Earl Grey Strong by Teapigs has been good to me in lieu of this once amazing white tip Earl Grey.

My son introduced me to Tea Source. I don't drink coffee, or much tea either, but since finding TS, I drink Earl Grey White Tip every day! It's so smooth and not bitter, like some popular brands I've had. I've passed on the love of your teas, and have made others a follower too!

Tea Source used to carry Earl Green tea, a blend of the bergamot flavor with green tea rather than the usual black. I always preferred it to the standard black tea blend as I felt th flavors blended better. When Tea Source stopped carrying Earl Green I was disappointed. However, I am happy to report that this blend with white and black tea is equally good if not better. Try it; I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Im a black tea drinker and this has been my very favorite for 10 or more years. Always order more then one so I don't run out. Love tea source only place to buy tea.

The addition of the silver needle white tea to high grade Earl Grey imparts a heavenly smoothness. My tea collection is never without this type. In summer, I make it iced--just bliss!

I've tried Earl Grey in a variety of tea brands, from sachets to loose, from big-box store products to more specialized brands, and none of them were as good as the Tea Source's Earl Grey White Tip. It's a staple in my tea stash. I make several pots of it a day sometimes. It's rich and full and everything I love about Earl Grey in a very high quality product.
