Sencha Fukamushi | Green Tea
This deep steamed specimen stands out for its earthy aroma, woodsy character, but a surprisingly light-bodied and almost cocoa-like texture.
Produced in 2021 from Kyoto, Japan from first flush material. The plants were shaded for approximately 5-7 days before harvest to create a deeper/sweeter profile. “Fukamushi” teas are steamed up to twice as long (45-60 seconds) as traditional sencha (approximately 30 seconds) and tend to break into smaller particle sizes so they steep faster/stronger.
