Organic English Breakfast | Black Tea
This might be the most famous black tea blend. It is a very hearty, full-bodied, aromatic blend of organic black teas from Assam and Sumatra. Smooth and strong. It takes milk and sugar very well, but is also great straight.
The name "English Breakfast tea" was actually coined in America, sometime in the mid-19th century. It was meant to give some cachet and higher class to blends that might be drunk in England: usually strong straight black teas from tea gardens in British colonies.
Suggested Steeping Instruction:
Use 1 heaping tsp per 8 oz cup of water at 190-200°. Steep 2-4 min.
