Huang Jin Gui Full Roasted | Oolong Tea
This medium-bodied Chinese oolong tea is a surprisingly delicate and nuanced cup, with sweet floral notes overlaid with a fresh toastiness.
This tea was made by Mr. Lin Ruifu of Anxi County, Fujian, China. It was grown at 2500' elevation and goes thru a unique all-night processing technique where they apply heat ("kill green") at the coolest part of the night around midnight and then finish the rest of the processing thru the early morning hours. This gives the tea full mouth-feel, while still being a light tea.
Suggested Steeping Instruction:
Use 1 rounded tsp (3-4 grams) per 8 oz of water. Steep with 8 oz water at 200° for 2-4 min. Good for multiple steepings.
