Description: This is a classic 2nd flush Darjeeling; medium-bodied, some stone fruit and muscatel notes, and very satisfying with none of the 1st flush crispness.
The Glenburn Tea Estate was founded in 1859 and is now owned and operated by the fourth generation of the Prakesh family, one of the pioneering Indian tea families. The fields of Glenburn are at 3200' elevation and are in NE Darjeeling district, near Sikkim. The Prakesh family takes great pride in The Glenburn Welfare Programme, which focuses considerable extra resources on medical and education efforts for Glenburn's workers.
