Assam, Dinjoye Estate, TGFOP | Black Tea
This is a very aromatic and hearty Assam tea. It is a broken leaf tea, so it tends to steep up strong, but it also has some "tip" in it (the little golden flecks) which gives this tea some depth, complexity, even a little hint of sweetness.
Dinjoye Tea Estate is located in the Dibrugarh district of far north Assam along the Bramaphutra River. This was the first tea garden founded by a native Indian grower, Mr. Murleidhor Jalan, in 1923. Most of Dinjoye's teas are made from the Indian tea cultivars P126 and S3A3, which were specifically developed to make premium golden tippy teas.
Suggested Steeping Instruction:
Use 1 heaping tsp per 8oz boiling water. Steep 3-5 min.
