Ancient Yunnan Hong Cha | Black Tea
Harvested from a 500+ year-old tree, this black tea is made from the Feng Qing Big Leaf cultivar. The liquor has a rich, soupy texture and tastes like roasted grain and sweet cocoa.
Made by Mr. Lai Wen Zeng, this tea was harvested in April 2019. The plucking standard for this tea is 1-2 leaves. Mr. Lai decided to make this tea after the first picking of the season, which means it does not contain any buds. The second picking helps keep the cost down and still produces a high quality tea.
