A classic Chinese green profile – light in body with an asparagus-like aroma. The fresh green character is less sweet and more floral up front with a drier grass/hay character at the end.

An early season yunwu style (clouds mist) tea produced the first week of April 2022. It comes from the famous Meng Ding mountain of Ya’an city in Sichuan province and shares many of the same attributes as our Clouds & Mist Supreme (same fields, just a week later). It’s a first leaf only pluck from the Lao Chuan cultivar growing at approximately 3,100 feet. Yunwu teas get their name from the near permanent fog at the higher elevations which strain the photosynthesis and give unique properties to these naturally shaded leaves. Unlike Clouds & Mist Supreme, this tea is produced using the traditional Chinese pan-firing techniques, making it a more representative sample of the green tea produced in the area.
