Hunan Cui Ya | Green Tea
Available in 2 oz. quantities. Online only.
Beautiful bud-only tea pan-fired entirely by hand. Crisp spring green flavors with a pristinely clean mouthfeel.
This famous tea is the product of first spring bud only pluck from plants growing at approximately 2,000 feet. It comes from Cha Ling county in Hunan, which rightly brags that it’s the only county named after tea. The Cui Ya style goes back to the Tang Dynasty where it was the tribute tea to the emperor. The tea is spread out for about six hours before being pan-fired, shaped and dried in one continuous process.
