Pretty, golden, downy buds. No leaves. Excellent texture looms throughout. Roasted grains, ashen wood, and sweet tobacco - the singular character of Yunnan tea.

Made the first week of April 2022 in Lincang City, Yunnan Province. It’s a classic Yunnan Gold Needle comprised of buds only from the Xiang Gui cultivar growing at 5,500 feet.

Ingredients: black tea

Steeping Instructions

4 grams | 10-12 oz water | 212°F | Steep 5 min.

Traditional Steeping

Use 6 grams of tea in a 150ml gaiwan or teapot. Use boiling water and steep as follows:

• 10 second rinse (discard this steep)
• 1st Steep – 25 seconds
• 2nd Steep – 25 seconds
• 3rd Steep – 1 min 
• 4th Steep – 3 min
