Chinese Oriental Beauty | Oolong Tea
Available in 2 ounce quantities only.
Description: The best tea we tasted in 2018. The long, sinewy, black/silvery leaves produce a pronounced, sweet, tropical aroma. The liquor has wonderful body that is infused with fruity, meadowy notes; think super-ripe peaches, papaya, and mangos. This tea is wonderfully nuanced and complex through multiple steepings. Very limited production.
Chinese Oriental Beauty (Chen De Yang) is grown in Dehua County, Fujian Province near a village called Mei Hu (Beautiful Lake). This tea was made by Mr. Chen Jian Wen from the Qing Xin Da Mao cultivar. Mr. Chen learned how to make tea from a Taiwan tea farmer who owned the tea garden before he took over.
