Available in 2 oz. quantities. Online only.
The tiny leaves with the taste of spring. This lot of is smoother, sweeter, and more forgiving than many bi luo chun style teas with a surprisingly full-bodied presence.
Bi Luo Chun (green-jade/spiral shell/spring) is one of the ten famous Chinese teas and hails from Dongting Mountain in Jiangsu Province. It was listed as a tribute tea during the Tang Dynasty which means some recognized version of this style has been produced for over 1,000 years. As its name implies, it’s a spring tea made from young tea buds only, rolled tightly to resemble the spiral patterns of a sea shell. The white “hairs” of the leaf become exposed in this process and give the green /silver appearance and a heavily textured cup. This particular lot was made on March 29, 2020.
