Bamboo Leaf | Green Tea
Available in 2 ounce quantities only.
Description: There is an incredible aroma from this Sichuan green tea; vibrant, spring-like, and fresh; both in the cup and the dry leaf. The cup is bright with notes of asparagus, young bamboo shoots, and a slight vegetal crispness. This is a very refreshing tea with some sweetness and a mild astringency.
This tea is also known as Zhu Yi Qing. This is a Pre Qing Ming tea (picked at the very beginning of the spring tea season). This year's lot has more body than typical, you may want to steep this tea lighter than usual. This tea is made on Emei Shan, one of China's four sacred Buddhist mountains. "Emie Shan" translates literally as "Lofty Eyebrow Mountain".
