Public Events

We enjoying finding opportunities to share our passion for tea with those in our community. We often present at conferences, teach classes, serve tea at events, and participate in community gatherings. If you can't make it to our store for one of our classes, find us out and about in the Metro area (and sometimes further than that!).

OPEN STREETS

By opening up the streets for people to walk, bike, run and skate for a day, we get an opportunity to experience our city in a whole new way. After the first event in 2011, people will have more opportunities to explore and enjoy their neighborhood streets by biking, walking, and skating without the presence of motorized traffic. An Open Streets event bring together families and neighbors to mingle, recreate, and shop in their communities in a safe, car-free environment. Open Streets Minneapolis is an initiative of the Minneapolis Bicycle Coalition.

Teasource will be serving Iced tea in the East Side Co-op parking lot - be sure to stop by!

MEETUP TEA & BOOK CLUB

NovelTea is a group for people who love books and want to discuss them with good people over a great cup of tea. The group will meet monthly at TeaSource in Eden Prairie (which is next door to the library). Everyone is welcome! The books will not necessarily be tea-themed (too limiting!). As moderator I will be choosing the first few books, just to get us started, group members will then vote on the books for upcoming months. TeaSource has generously offered a discount on cups and pots of tea for the NovelTea Meetup.

The first novel will be The Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet, a book about a Dutch merchant in Nagasaki at the dawn of the 18th century.
