Last Chance Teas

Some of our best teas are made in very limited production. The farmer may only be able to make 50 pounds of a very special tea. That's it. When that 50 pounds is gone, it's gone - just like a fine, aged, vintage wine.

This Last Chance section is where we offer, at a 20% discount (unless otherwise noted), the very last of some of our very best teas, before they are gone.

Pi Lo Chun Imperial

Pi Lo Chun Imperial

4 oz. $15.10

This delicate, handmade tea has a very fresh and sweet aroma. The brewed tea tastes like springtime in a mountain meadow: sweet, slightly grassy, slightly floral, and very satisfying.

Castleton Estate FTGFOP Autumnal Flush

Castleton Estate FTGFOP Autumnal Flush

4 oz. $11.98

This black tea from Darjeeling has an aroma of ripe summer fruit. It steeps up very smooth and slightly musky/sweet with loads of body. If you have never had an autumnal Darjeeling tea, this is a great one to try.

Jaipur Estate, SFTGFOP1

Jaipur Estate, SFTGFOP1

4 oz. $11.59

This tea steeps up a very smooth, balanced cup: excellent weight/mouth feel, nice maltiness, hint of a sweet/spicy note, not an overwhelmingly strong cup -- but a phenomenally satisfying one. This is the iron fist in a velvet glove.

Glenburn Estate, 2nd Flush, FTGFOP1

Glenburn Estate, 2nd Flush, FTGFOP1

4 oz. $15.94

This is an absolutely great 2nd flush Darjeeling black tea. It is medium-bodied, extremely aromatic, very smooth with a slight crisp citrusy note, and a lingering aftertaste. This is a classic high-grade 2nd flush Darjeeling tea.

Namring Estate, SFTGFOP1, 1st Flush

Namring Estate, SFTGFOP1, 1st Flush

2 oz. $7.11

This is a kinder and gentler 1st flush Darjeeling. This black tea from India has a complex range of flavors and sensations. Sweet, crisp, slightly fruity, and silky-but never over-powering. A delicate, balanced, classic 2nd flush black tea from Darjeeling, India.

Only available in 2 ounce quantities.

Taiwan Mao Feng

Taiwan Mao Feng

4 oz. $14.38

These gorgeous, tippy, golden hand-processed black tea leaves steep up a deep gold-orange color and deliver an aroma that is rich and luxurious. The liquor of this exotic black tea is very smooth, thick, weighty, sweet, and complex. It is reminiscent of a black tea from Hunan or Yunnan, but it has elements of a floral note never found in those teas. This is a delicious and intriguing black tea.

Malaysian Highlands

Malaysian Highlands

4 oz. $3.99

A very smooth black tea with no bitterness, but lots of flavor and depth.

Giddapahar Estate, 2nd Flush, SFTGFOP1

Giddapahar Estate, 2nd Flush, SFTGFOP1

4 oz. $8.99

50% off 4 ounce and 1 pound quantities

This is a full-flavored cup, with pronounced muscatel-stone fruit notes coming through. This is not a subtle or delicate Darjeeling, instead it is one to sip slowly, like a single malt whiskey, enjoying the different notes of the flavor profile.
