Giddapahar Estate, 1st Flush, SFTGFOP1 - This is a classic 1st flush Darjeeling black tea. This black tea is medium-bodied, with a tiny bit of astringency, and just a hint of those slight fruity muscatel notes that Darjeeling teas are known for.
Pearl Pouchong - This unique tea from Ylan in NE Taiwan is is entirely hand-processed and produces a cup that is extremely frangrant. The steeped liquor is like drinking lilacs. It it sweet, silky, with a long lovely, lingering aftertaste. Chances are you have never seen or tasted a pouchong like this.
Kabusecha - From Japan's southern island of Kagoshima, Kabusecha translates to "covered tea" and is shade-grown (like Gyokuro) for the final 15-20 days before plucking. It's grown from the Saemidori (or "clear green") cultivar, known for its intense aroma, bright green color, and light bitterness and astringency. A complex cup with a sweet, almost chard-like flavor and a lingering finish.
Jasmine Silver Needles - This white tea is composed of beautiful, thick silver needles (aka Yin Zhen), scented with fresh jasmine blossoms numerous times. The steeped cup is stunningly fragrant, sweet, floral, phenomenally silky. Being a white tea, this tea is lighter than many teas, but the flavor and aroma are fantastic. This is a knock-your-socks-off tea.
